La belleza de aquellos años quedan en el recuerdo por medio de su música, de sus coches, de sus joyas, de sus vestidos y costumbres…! Unos años maravillosos e inolvidables…!

“Quai d’Orsay”, as the building housing the French Foreign Office is known, was built to welcome visiting foreign dignitaries with all the splendour befitting their rank.
The building has been left almost unchanged since being finished in Second Empire style in 1855, apart from the First Floor Apartments, where the decoration would be slightly modified at each visit, to suit the guest’s personality.
One of the most spectacular changes design-wise was made in 1938, with new bathrooms fitted out on the occasion of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth’s visit to Paris.
Designed by August Labouret, the bathrooms were created in pure Art Deco style, with furniture made by Jaques Adnet.

Miss Vivian Bales onboard her beloved 1929 Harley-Davidson Model D. She traveled thousands of miles throughout North America at the end of the Prohibition Era.
(The “Enthusiast Girl” was a young, female rider who appeared on the cover of The Harley-Davidson Enthusiast magazine in May and November 1929 and toured the country on her Harley-Davidson motorcycle following her cover shot. (By the way, The Enthusiast is still published today.) Harley-Davidson will always be grateful to her for the goodwill she spread on her cross-country motorcycle trip, a trip that would make her one of the first great women riders.)
